about
This is my first musical release, part 1 of a double A side called 'A OO side'. Over the last 9 months I've given myself permission to create within the limitations of my current abilities and it has sparked a liberation in me. It required a big step in the direction of self-acceptance but it also brought me face to face with an important realisation - I have an offering, it's not in any way perfect, but its genuine and sharing something real is all I can ever really hope for.
Stylistically the song is inspired by my love of Pearl Jam and Aaliyah. It's a song about self-doubt, but about how self-doubt is not static, it shifts and a warm self-love can be born of it.
I am fortunate enough to have a stable income through other means so any $ contributions made in purchasing this track will be donated to the work of women's refuges in the UK.
Thank you for taking a chance on me and having a listen and a look.
